Biography

Yasmin Benoit is a British model, multi-award-winning asexual activist, writer, influencer, speaker, project consultant and researcher at Stonewall. She began modelling when she was 18 with the goal of providing more diverse representation for Black women, specifically in the alternative genre.

Since then, she has been published in the likes of Vogue Greece and i-D Magazine, appeared in campaigns for Mercedes AMG and Ann Summers, been featured on the cover of Attitude Magazine and Gay Times Magazine, and walked at London Fashion Week.

After publicly coming out as asexual in late 2017, she has been described as the "unlikely face of asexuality" by Cosmopolitan Magazine. She started the #ThisIsWhatAsexualLooksLike movement, co-founded International Asexuality Day, launched the UK's first asexual rights initiative with Stonewall, and was the first asexual grand marshal at NYC Pride 2023.

Yasmin won an Attitude Pride Award in 2021 and 'Campaigner/Influencer of the Year' at the Rainbow Honours 2022. You can find out more about her work on her official website.
